Campfire Keeper Award

Honoring the People Who Keep Our Campfire Glowing

Every community has people who show up with their whole hearts. They offer their time, share their gifts, and help make things possible, often without asking for recognition.

The Snovalley Pride Campfire Keeper Award honors those who have gone above and beyond in supporting our mission and our community. Through their generosity, dedication, and care, they help create a Snoqualmie Valley where our 2SLGBTQ+ neighbors can experience joy, healing, connection, and belonging.

To bring this spirit to life, we invited local glass artist Bob Bank to create our awards. He crafted beautiful, one of a kind glass campfires for our recipients to treasure. We are deeply grateful to Bob for sharing his art and helping us honor the people who keep our campfire glowing.

Each year at our Sparkle Party, we celebrate new Campfire Keepers and the lasting difference they make.

These are their stories. We are grateful they are part of ours!

The Nelson Family

2026 Recipient

The Nelson Family has helped keep our campfire glowing since 2023. Emily sponsored our first two events and rallied her Treehouse Point crew to walk beside us in the Carnation Fourth of July Parade when we needed a little courage. Henry built a wooden holder for our light up letters, Charlie volunteers with us at Timber Festival year after year, and Pete and Judy have generously supported our work from the beginning.

Their love shows up in so many ways. We were honored to celebrate this incredible family with our first ever Campfire Keeper Award.

Rhonda Ender

2026 Recipient

Rhonda Ender helps make kindness visible in Carnation. As City Manager, she helped secure city grants for our Pride Picnic, hung Pride flags along Main Street, and made sure Snovalley Pride has a place at the table at city events.

Beyond her work, Rhonda is a cherished ally and friend. Her big heart and kind spirit help our community feel welcomed and celebrated, and we are honored to recognize her with this Campfire Keeper Award.
