Greg Jamiel
Greg Jamiel founded Snovalley Pride in 2023 with a simple question: What kind of Valley do we want to build?
A longtime art director, designer and storyteller, Greg set out to use his creativity in service of the community he calls home. He envisioned a Snoqualmie Valley where 2SLGBTQ+ people could find connection, healing and joy without having to leave their rural community to find belonging.
At the heart of Greg’s work is a belief that creating beauty can be an act of hope, especially in a world that can sometimes feel dark. Through art, gathering, storytelling and joyful visibility, he works to create spaces that remind people they are seen, valued and celebrated.
What began as a small spark has grown into something far greater than one person. Greg continues to serve as Founder and Executive Director, grateful for the Board members, volunteers, artists, partners and neighbors who have gathered around the campfire and helped turn an idea into a community.

At Snovalley Pride, we believe how we lead should reflect the kind of community we’re working to create.
Our Board of Directors provides strong governance and responsible stewardship while embracing a leadership model that is collaborative, community-centered and rooted in shared responsibility rather than traditional hierarchy.
We incorporate principles of Sociocracy (Dynamic Governance), using circle-based collaboration and consent-based decision-making to ensure voices are heard, perspectives are valued and leadership is shared. This approach allows us to lead with transparency, equity and collective care while keeping dignity, belonging and empowerment at the heart of our work.
Our leadership team is intentionally representative of the community we serve, with 2SLGBTQ+ people comprising 75% of the executive and Board leadership featured on this page and allies comprising 25%.
