Snovalley Pride Parents Circle
Because Parents and Caregivers Need Community, Too.
Being a parent or caregiver can be joyful, messy, hilarious, exhausting, beautiful, and sometimes a little overwhelming. And sometimes, it just helps to be around people who get it.
Snovalley Pride’s Parents Circle brings together 2SLGBTQ+ parents, caregivers, and parents of 2SLGBTQ+ young people from across the Snoqualmie Valley to build friendships, share experiences, and create community together.
No pressure. No judgment. No need to have all the answers.
Just good people, meaningful conversation, a little laughter, and a place where you and your family can feel like you belong.
Who Is Our Parents Circle For?
Parents Circle welcomes:
• 2SLGBTQ+ parents and caregivers looking to meet other families and build community.
• Parents, guardians, and caregivers of 2SLGBTQ+ children and teens who want to connect with other families.
• Families who are looking for a welcoming, affirming community here in the Snoqualmie Valley.
Whether your family has been part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community for decades or you are just beginning a new chapter together, there is a place for you around our circle.
Come As You Are
Parents Circle gatherings are intentionally casual.
Sometimes we gather over coffee and conversation. Sometimes we meet for a picnic, pool party, river day, pumpkin patch adventure, or another fun family outing. Sometimes we invite knowledgeable community members to share resources or help us explore topics our families care about.
But at the heart of every gathering is something simple: Connection.
We want parents to meet other parents. We want kids to see other families like theirs. We want friendships to grow. And we want 2SLGBTQ+ families throughout the Valley to know they do not have to search far to find community.
Why Parents Circle Matters
Living in a rural community can sometimes make it harder for 2SLGBTQ+ people and families to find one another. We believe that changes when we intentionally create places to connect.
A conversation can become a friendship. A friendship can become a community. And a strong community can help make the entire Snoqualmie Valley a kinder, safer, and more welcoming place for our families and young people.
That is what Parents Circle is all about.
A Community Space, Not a Therapy Group
Parents Circle is a community gathering centered on friendship, connection, and belonging.
We are not a counseling or therapy group, and Snovalley Pride does not provide medical, mental health, or professional parenting advice through Parents Circle.
What we can provide is a welcoming place to meet people, share experiences, learn from one another, access trusted resources, and build meaningful relationships.
Sometimes knowing there are people in your community who understand can make a pretty big difference.
