Our Story
In November of 2012, a group of concerned neighbors came together to discuss opening the community’s first-ever emergency shelter in North Bend. The person leading the charge was then Police Chief, Mark Toner. It was his vision, dedication and compassion that planted the seed for all that was to come. On December 23, 2012, just 42 days after our first public meeting, we opened our shelter to men, women and families experiencing homelessness in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Our Beliefs
From the very beginning, we understood the importance of focusing strongly on building deep relationships with our clients, including those struggling through active behavioral health challenges. We are, above all else, a life-saving agency and have remained grounded in the importance of meeting people where they are. Over the years, we’ve had the honor of watching countless people grow and stabilize, surrounded by volunteers and staff members who truly care about their emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
