Snovalley Pride Teen Circle

What It Is

The Snovalley Pride Teen Advisory Board is a youth-led leadership group dedicated to amplifying the voices of LGBTQ+ teens and allies in the Snoqualmie Valley. This board will provide guidance, ideas, and feedback on events, programs, and initiatives to ensure that Snovalley Pride remains inclusive, engaging, and relevant to young people in our community. Members will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, collaborate on projects, and help shape the future of LGBTQ+ advocacy in our region.

Why We Need It

LGBTQ+ teens face unique challenges, and their perspectives are vital in shaping a community that supports and uplifts them. By creating a Teen Advisory Board, we ensure that young people have a direct role in planning and decision-making within Snovalley Pride. This board will create a safe space where teens can express their ideas, advocate for issues that matter to them, and foster a stronger sense of belonging and empowerment.

Goals & Impact

  • Youth Leadership & Empowerment – Provide LGBTQ+ teens with meaningful leadership opportunities that allow them to grow, learn, and make a real impact.
  • Community Building – Strengthen connections between LGBTQ+ youth, their allies, and the larger community to foster a sense of belonging and support.
  • Event & Program Development – Ensure that Snovalley Pride events and programs reflect the needs, interests, and creativity of local teens.
  • Advocacy & Representation – Give teens a platform to voice their concerns, share their experiences, and advocate for positive change in schools and beyond.
